Hi, I’m Nikki
I work with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, big emotions, identity questions, body image concerns, grief, and life’s many transitions. I aim to create a space where young people can slow down, feel understood, and start to make sense of what they’re experiencing — a space where they can feel seen and accepted for exactly who they are.
I have a particular interest in supporting teens and young adults struggling with body image, disordered eating, or pressures around appearance. I help clients explore how their thoughts and feelings about food, weight, and their bodies affect their emotions and daily life, and we work together to develop healthier, more compassionate ways of relating to themselves. My approach is grounded in evidence-based strategies, while also being relational, curious, and strengths-focused, so that young people feel empowered rather than judged.
I draw from DBT and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, working within attachment-based, harm-reduction, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, and trauma-informed frameworks. Every session is tailored to meet you exactly where you are — whether that means building coping skills, navigating social pressures, or finding steadier footing through a challenging season.
As a second-generation Latine clinician and child of immigrants, I hold an understanding of how culture, family, and intergenerational experiences can shape identity, emotional wellbeing, and relationships. I bring this awareness through culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, recognizing that our lives are not only shaped by individual experiences, but also by the relationships, communities, and systems around us.
Outside of therapy, I love discovering new food spots, spending time with my family, and relaxing at home with my cat, Poe.
If you’re curious about working together, please reach out. I’d be happy to talk about what you’re looking for and help you determine whether I’m the right fit.
