Hi, I’m Laura
I work with youth, teens, and adults who are navigating overwhelming emotions, ADHD, anxiety, or a major life transition. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can show up exactly as you are. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you navigate life with greater ease and confidence.
As both a therapist and an Ontario Certified Teacher, I bring a unique understanding of the challenges that can arise at school, at home, and in everyday life. I have experience supporting children, teens, and families navigating: ADHD; learning challenges; selective mutism; school refusal; anxiety; and emotion regulation difficulties.
My approach is neuro-affirming, strengths-based, and collaborative. I work closely with young people and their caregivers to create individualized goals, build effective coping strategies, and support success both inside and outside the classroom.
I am especially passionate about supporting women who are navigating the journey toward parenthood. Whether you're preparing to become a parent, coping with infertility, considering adoption, or adjusting to a new chapter of life, these experiences can bring uncertainty, grief, hope, and overwhelm all at once. You deserve a space to unpack these complex emotions with care, and my goal is to help clients connect with their intuition and authentic selves. I wholeheartedly believe that by having a space just for them, mothers and moms-in-waiting can create authentic progress that has a positive ripple effect on the whole family.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you better understand your emotions, strengthen your coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic approaches.
Outside of the therapy room, I am passionate about animal welfare and have volunteered with a rescue organization for several years. Through that experience, I adopted my dog, Wanda, who keeps life interesting and joyful. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me reading a good book, listening to Taylor Swift, or staying active through sports.
Taking the first step toward support can feel vulnerable, but you don't have to navigate things alone. If you're looking for a therapist who understands ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, and the unique challenges facing children, teens, families, and women building their families, I'd love to connect. Book a free consultation to learn more about how we can work together and whether I'm the right fit for your therapy journey.
