Hi, I’m Carrie

If you’re feeling disconnected from your partner, stuck in the same arguments, or overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or difficult life experiences, you don’t have to work through it alone.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and I work with individuals and couples who want to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and feel more secure and connected in their lives.

Relationships can be one of the greatest sources of connection in our lives - and also where we can experience some of our deepest hurt. You may love your partner deeply but find yourselves having the same argument over and over. Maybe one of you shuts down while the other pushes for connection. Perhaps communication has become tense, intimacy feels different, or you simply don’t feel as close as you once did.

My work with couples is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment theory. Rather than focusing on who is right or wrong, we’ll look at the patterns you’ve become caught in and what may be happening underneath them.

Together, we can work toward helping you understand the cycle that keeps creating conflict or distance, communicate your feelings and needs more clearly, feel safer being vulnerable with one another, repair hurt and rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection and intimacy.

I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the effects of difficult or traumatic experiences.

My approach is relational, collaborative, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed. Therapy with me isn’t about having all the answers before you walk through the door. We’ll slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck.

I believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely safe, understood, and accepted. I bring warmth, curiosity, and compassion into the therapy room, while also helping you look more deeply at the patterns that may no longer be serving you.

Outside of the therapy room, I love getting outside, practising yoga, scuba diving, travelling, and exploring new places. I’m happiest when I’m learning something new - whether that’s through a good book, a new hobby, or simply following my curiosity.

My hope is that when you work with me, you feel genuinely heard and understood and that therapy becomes a place where you can safely explore what’s happening, strengthen your relationships, and create a life that feels more connected and fulfilling.
