Hi, I’m Laura
I support children, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, life transitions, chronic illness, cancer, fertility challenges, and reproductive health concerns. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free space where you can feel understood, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to move forward with confidence.
As both a Registered Psychotherapist and Ontario Certified Teacher, I bring a unique understanding of the challenges that can arise at school, at home, and throughout different stages of life. I have experience supporting children and teens with ADHD, learning challenges, selective mutism, school refusal, anxiety, and emotion regulation difficulties, while also working closely with parents and caregivers to support school success.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating fertility challenges, reproductive health concerns, chronic illness, and cancer. Through both professional training and personal lived experience, I understand the emotional impact that diagnoses, treatments, uncertainty, loss, and ongoing health challenges can have on your identity, relationships, and sense of self. Whether you are coping with infertility, endometriosis, Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, (formerly PCOS), cancer, chronic illness, or another significant health challenge, you don't have to carry it alone.
My approach is neuro-affirming, strengths-based, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll work to better understand your emotions, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My work is informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic approaches.
Outside of the therapy room, I am passionate about animal welfare and have volunteered with a rescue organization for several years. Through that experience, I adopted my dog, Wanda, who keeps life interesting and joyful. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me reading a good book, listening to Taylor Swift, or staying active through sports.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel vulnerable, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. If you're looking for a therapist who understands ADHD, anxiety, chronic illness, cancer, reproductive health concerns, fertility challenges, and the unique needs of children, teens, and families, I'd love to connect.
